A Very, Very Happy New Year

Laura and Dylan was so excited to greet the new year. Laura was more thrilled. She was busy preparing the gifts under the Christmas tree and she dressed up as early as 7pm. She wore polka dots, our tradition for the new year. I myself woke up late as usual around 4pm. I had my New Year's Party at Bliss the night before.

My mom came to the house around 7pm bringing all our food for the Buena Noche, midnight dinner. Our dinner was dinuguan, my favorite dish, menudo and spaghetti. No chicken is allowed since my children are allergic. No ice cream too.

The children stayed at my room then around 8pm we went down to have our dinner. It was fun having dinners when my mom is at my house. She's quite a disciplinarian and we sometimes argue on how to discipline my children. I'm more lenient since I want my kids to have their own opinion unlike myself where I struggled for quite a long time to know what I want since my mom is so bent on forcing us to do what she wants. Anyway, our dinner was fun.

I went back to my room and the kids ransacked their toys and started playing. I had a nap for 2 hours and about 10 pm I woke up to take a bath and get dressed.

The fireworks are amazing still but not that many anymore. I saw a light lantern for the first time today. It's so beautiful. You lit it up with a candle and the lantern will fly. I have seen it on television but when I saw it live since our neighbor have them, I was amazed. It's like an angel flying away in the midnight sky. That was the highlight of this New Year's 2012 fireworks.

Around 1pm we went down to have our midnight dinner. I played the Christmas cd of Andrea Bocelli. He has a very soothing voice that Laura began to sing with him too. At the dinner table, my brother commented that I'm getting fat already. Now I'm a bit alarmed. I really have to loose weight. I have to take care of myself more. That's one of my resolve this 2012.

Around 3 am, I tucked my children to bed. I plan to watch the Disney show tomorrow at the Araneta Coliseum.

Still Busy Days before the New Year

People are still scheduling for photoshoots even during the holidays.

It's just fortunate that I really enjoy my hobby. I get to meet a lot of young people and at the same time meet new contacts in the showbiz community.

Today's model is Xtian, a Bench sales clerk and Toni, a Thailand based Computer Programmer. Egay also came in with 2 of his models. Justin was really cute while Darwin is just so, so.

We were able to do a lot of work and we finished the shoot around 9.30 pm. David my assistant passed by with his ex girlfriend Rachel. They really look good as a couple. They left around 8pm and David was generous enough to  buy us dinner. A chicken meal from Mcdonald's. I'm glad that my new photo studio in Timog Avenue is beside a Mcdonald's. My expenses are much, much cheaper now.

Trinoma is full of movie goers

Trinoma in my opinion has garnered the Quezon City buying public. This is the mall where I bought all my Christmas presents. And today, I went to watch the movies. SM Cinemas is very ugly already. With all their money, they can't just renovate their cinemas. I really don't know why.

Me and my 2 kids together with their nannies trooped to Trinoma. My initial plan is just to place them at the Kevin's Playground but I changed my mind and decided to watch a movie instead. I was hoping to watch Enteng ng Ina mo but their 8pm show is already fully booked. Almost all the movies are fully booked. Until I noticed that there is an opening for House Husband. It's a good thing that our seats were the first seats, at the A section. Ticket is at 180 pesos and my total bill is about 900.

After buying our tickets, we went to Laura's favorite game at Trinoma which is the Xrider. The lines were so long that we waited for almost an hour just to ride it. The wait was worth it since Laura and Dylan really like the Xrider ride.

We went to Mcdonalds for dinner but the place was full. I opted to go to have dinner at Cyma instead. Cyma is one of my favorite restaurants. It's located at the cinema floor.

Cyma's restaurant size was cut into half. The waitress told me that the rent was too high. It's unfortunate since the other restaurant beside them is normal. Their prices are still high as usual but the food taste delicious so it's ok.

Cyma's Bill

Spinach Fondue - 350

Baby Back Ribs Half - 650

Salmon - 360

3 Extra Plain Rice - 195

2 Ice Teas Refillable - 190

3 Iced Teas - 225

Total Food Bill is 1970 plus the service charge at 175.89.

My Total bill is 2, 145.89

Verdict : The food is ok but the proportions are small. The baby back ribs which was my favorite lacked taste already. I might not come back again soon.

We had our dinner for an hour only because we were catching our movie at 8pm.

All the movie houses were full. The cinema was really, really crowded.

House Husband was showing at Cinema 2.

The movie is funny because Eugene Domingo is there. She is a comedian at heart. We finished the movie around 10 pm and headed straight home.

I ordered takeout for my dinner at David's Tea House at Tomas Morato.

David's Tea House Order

Pork Century Egg Congee - 120

Shrimp Siomai - 85

Pork Asado Pao - 85

Total Bill is only 290 pesos.

Great food at a very reasonable price.

Today is January 2, 2011

I forced myself to sleep early last night. I need to change my sleeping habits so I can achieve a good weight loss. I will also eat oranges every morning since I heard eating it will reduce weight too.

Today is a new year and I weight 250 pounds. My goal for the end of 2011 is to loose at least 10 pounds.

I can achieve this by :

1. Not drinking coke and ice tea when I eat outside.

2. Avoid chocolates and sweets.

3. Buy lots of fruits so I can see fruits more and not sweet candies.

4. Order more fish when eating out. Eat less pork.

I think I shall have this 4 attainable goals first. I'm turning 38 this year and I'm hopefull that I can loose a little bit of weight.
